    GETTING STARTED BATTERY INSTALLATION 1. Make sure the unit is OFF. 2. Locate the battery cover on the bottom of the unit. 3. Install 3 new “AA” (AM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (The use of new, alkaline batteries is recommended for maximum performance.) 4.

    NOTE: Help the environment by disposing of your product responsibly. The wheelie bin symbols indicate the product and batteries must not be disposed of in the domestic waste as they contain substances which can be damaging to the environment and health. Please use designated collection points or recycling facilities when disposing of the item or batteries.

    4. CATEGORy BUTTONS Press the 5 CATEGORY BUTTONS to select an activity in that category. Press the arrow keys to choose a game. Games 5. REPEAT BUTTON Press the button to repeat the current question or instruction. 6. ANSWER BUTTON Press the button to get the correct answer in most activities.

    Press the button to set the background music off. 12. AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF To preserve battery life, the VTech ® Mini Laptop will automatically turn off after several minutes without input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing the button.
  • Page 8 4. Alphabetical Balloons Several letters will appear on the screen; all but one will be in alphabetical order. Press the letter that is not in order on the keyboard. 5. Terrific Typist A word will be shown on the screen. Type the word on the keyboard.
  • Page 9 2. Number Order 4 numbers will be shown on 4 flower petals. Choose the numbers in order by pressing the numbers on the keyboard or by using the arrow keys and pressing enter to confirm. 3. Lightest or Heaviest? 3 bags will be shown on the screen with their weight written on them.
  • Page 10 SHAPES 1. Counting Shapes Some objects will appear on the screen. Count the required objects and type your answer on the keyboard. 2. Three of a Kind Shapes will be moving across the top of the screen. Collect 3 of the same shapes by pressing the enter button at the right time to catch them.
  • Page 11 GAMES 1. Odd One Out Four shapes will appear on the screen. Find the odd one out by using the arrow keys and pressing enter to confirm. 2. Park Pick Up Sort the falling pieces of rubbish into the correct bins.
