Vax Careline 0870 606 1248 6. Maintenance To remove the hood, press handle release pedal and place handle in low position. Using a coin, turn the two slots (A) on either side of the hood as shown (Fig.6/3). Move edge of a card across bottom plate while turning brush bar (Fig.6/9). Fig.6/6 Grasp brush bar firmly and fit it into position by first sliding end opposite the belt into the rectangular slot (A) on side of cleaner.

Inspect belt to ensure that it is in good condition. If belt is cracked, gouged or broken, replace it (see following Pivot bottom plate down and snap closed (Fig.6/15).

With flat sides of turbine retainers (A) pointing down, slide 7. Clearing blockages retainers into grooves (B) in tool housing and snap into place (Fig.6/18). IMPORTANT: Disconnect cleaner from electrical outlet before attempting to clear blockages. Low suction or pick up may be due to a blockage in the system. -
