Options

Use these pads to select the desired options for your wash cycle.
Cycle Signal
The End of Cycle Signal produces an audible sound when the
wash cycle is finished. This signal is helpful when you are
removing items from the washer as soon as it stops.
Fabric Softener
The Fabric Softener option must be selected if liquid fabric
softener is added to the fabric softener dispenser. This option
flushes the dispenser at the right time in a deep water rinse for
optimal distribution.
Stain Treat (Catalyst
®
Cleaning Action)
This option provides enhanced cleaning action for tough stains.
The Heavy Duty cycle automatically includes Stain Treat.
Choosing Stain Treat will add approximately 10 minutes to a
cycle. Stain Treat should be started on a dry load only and should
not be selected after the tub has started filling with water.
Stain Treat may be selected as an option with other cycles.
2nd Rinse/Auto Soak
Use these options for set-in stains and soils that need extra time
for removal.
A 2nd rinse can be used to aid in the removal of detergent or
bleach residue from garments. This option provides an additional
rinse with the same water temperature as the first rinse. This is
the default rinse setting for the Whitest Whites cycle. Fabric
softener will be dispensed during the 2nd Rinse.
When Auto Soak is selected, the washer saturates the load with
water and detergent then pauses to allow the detergent to work
on soils. The pause is followed by a slow-speed spin. The washer
pauses and spins six times before advancing to the desired wash
cycle. Auto Soak adds approximately 12 minutes to the wash
cycle.

Normal Sounds

Your new washer may make sounds your old one didn't. Because
the sounds might be unfamiliar, you may be concerned about
them. These sounds may be normal.
During washing
If you select the Stain Treat option, you will hear a spin/spray
noise at the start of the cycle.
During drain
If water is drained quickly from your washer (depending on your
installation), you may hear air being pulled through the pump
during the end of draining.
During wash and spin
This washer does not have a transmission. The motor provides
direct drive for wash and spin. You will hear sounds that are
different from those of a conventional washer.
