Hints for storage of frozen food
To obtain the best performance from this appliance,
you should:
• M ake sure that the commercially frozen foodstuffs were
stored correctly by the retailer .
• B e sure that frozen foodstuffs are transferred from the
food store to the freezer in the shortest possible time .
• D o not open the door frequently or leave it open longer
than absolutely necessary .
• o nce defrosted, foods deteriorate rapidly and can not
be re-frozen .
• D o not exceed the storage period indicated by the
food manufacturer .

cLEANING ANd cARE

Cleaning and Care
For hygienic reasons the appliance interior, including
interior accessories, should be cleaned regularly .
The freezer should be cleaned and maintained at least
every two months .
WARNING
Danger of electrical shock!
• T he appliance should not be connected to the mains
during cleaning . Before cleaning, switch the appliance
off and remove the plug from the mains, or switch off
or turn out the circuit breaker or fuse .
Important!
• r emove the food from the appliance before cleaning.
Store them in a cool place, well covered .
• N ever clean the appliance with a steam cleaner.
Moisture could accumulate in electrical components .
• H ot vapours can lead to the damage of plastic parts.
• E thereal oils and organic solvents can attack plastic
parts, e .g . lemon juice or the juice from orange peel,
butyric acid, cleanser that contain acetic acid .
• D o not allow such substances to come into contact with
appliance parts .
• D o not use any abrasive cleansers.
• C lean the appliance and the interior accessories with a
cloth and lukewarm water . Commercially available dish
washing detergents may also be used .
• A fter cleaning wipe with fresh water and a clean
dish cloth .
• C heck the water drain hole on the rear wall of the
refrigerator compartment .
• A fter everything is dry put appliance back
into service .

Defrosting
• T he compartment of this appliance is "frost free".
• T his means that there is no buildup of frost when it is
running, neither on the internal walls nor on the foods .
• T he absence of frost is due to the continuous circulation
of cold air inside the compartment, driven by an
automatically controlled fan .
Out of use for an extended period of time
• remove all refrigerated packages.
• r emove the mains plug or switch off or disconnect the
electricity supply .
• C lean thoroughly (see section: Cleaning and Care)
• Leave the door open to avoid the build up of odours.
