Fuel Strainer Screen

The fuel strainer is in the fuel valve. The strainer has a fine mesh screen
( ) which prevents dirt from entering the carburetor passages. Dirt

which accumulates in the screen must be removed periodically, or the
fuel flow will eventually be restricted.
1.
Turn the fuel valve OFF.
2.
Remove the fuel strainer cap ( ) and the O-ring ( ).
3.
Remove the strainer screen ( ).
4.
Wash the screen in non-flammable (high flash point) solvent such as
kerosene not gasoline.
