Togetdishescleananddry,you

waterof the propertemperature,
yourHotpointdishwasher
automatically heatsthe waterin
thewashcycle.For goodwashing
anddrying,theenteringwatermust
beat least 120"F. Topreventdish
damage,inletwatershouldnot
exceed150°F.
Checkyourwatertemperature
witha candyor meat
thermometer. T urnon thehot
waterfaucetnearestthedishwasher.
Put thethermometerin a glassand
let the waterrun continuously into
the glassuntilthetemperature
stopsrising.If thewaterternpemture
is below120 "F.,adjustyourwater
heater.
Helpfulhints:If outside
temperaturesare unusuallylow,or
if yourwatertravelsa longdistance
fromheaterto dishwasher, y oumay
needto set yourheater'sthermostat
up. If youhavenotusedhotwater
for sometime,the waterin the
pipeswillbe cold. Turnon thehot
waterfaucetat the sinkand allowit
to run untilthe wateris hot. Then
startthe dishwasher. I f you've
recentlydonelaundryor run hot
waterfor showers,giveyourwater
heatertimeto recoverbefore
operatingthe dishwasher.
