How to pair most Bluetooth telephones with *AVIC Z1 or *AVIC Z2
*ND BT1 required
There are two options in pairing Bluetooth cell phones with AVIC Z1 or AVIC Z2. Most cell phones will work with either Option
1 or Option 2. We highly recommend trying both methods. If neither method works, unfortunately the cell phone will not pair
with the AVIC Z1 or AVIC Z2. (Most PDA and Smartphone's may not properly pair or function properly)
Option 1: Cell phone finding the AVIC Z1 or AVIC Z2.
1.
Power on AVIC Z1 or AVIC Z2
a.
Press and hold MENU button
b.
Touch PHONE SETTINGS
c.
Touch REGISTRATION
d.
Touch MOBILE
2.
In the cell phone's Bluetooth menu
a.
(This will vary due to different manufacturer's, but please look for closest match, it might be under options
or menu) Select "new paired device", "add device", "add headset" "search for devices", "etc".
b.
Wait as the phone searches for the PIONEER HDD Z1 or PIONEER HDD Z2
c.
After it completes the search, select PIONEER HDD Z1 or PIONEER HDD Z2
d.
It will ask you for a password, enter 1111
e.
Select YES to authorize and select YES to connect to PIONEER HDD Z1 or PIONEER HDD Z2
3.
From the AVIC Z1 or AVIC Z2
a.
Touch OK
4.
Congratulations you have successfully paired and registered cell phone to AVIC Z1 or AVIC Z2!
Option 2: AVIC Z1 or AVIC Z2 finding the cell phone.
1.
Power on AVIC Z1 or AVIC Z2
2.
In the cell phone's Bluetooth menu
a.
(This will vary due to different manufacturer's, but please look for closest match, it might be under options
or menu) Select "Bluetooth on", "find me", "discoverable" "always visible", "shown to all", "etc".
3.
From the AVIC Z1 or AVIC Z2
a.
Press and hold MENU button
b.
Touch PHONE SETTINGS
c.
Touch REGISTRATION
d.
Touch NAVI
e.
Wait as the AVIC Z1 or AVIC Z2 searches for the cell phone
f.
After it completes the search , please select found cell phone
g.
Cell phone will ask for Pioneer BT Unit password, enter 1111
h.
Select YES to authorize and select YES to connect to PIONEER HDD Z1 or PIONEER HDD Z2
i.
Touch OK
4.
Congratulations you have successfully paired and registered cell phone to AVIC Z1 or AVIC Z2!
