Chiseling Operation
Warning: Do not operate the Air Hammer unless the Retainer Spring (15) is
screwed completely onto the Cylinder (14). Otherwise, the chisel could fly out of
the Cylinder causing injury.
1.
Set the (1.5 HP minimum) air compressor pressure regulator to 90 PSI.
2.
Connect the compressor air hose (minimum 3/8" I.D.) to the Air Inlet (9) on
the handle of the Air Hammer.
If an oiler is not used, add a few drops of pneumatic tool oil into the Air Inlet
(9) before connecting the air hose. If any air is leaking after the connection,
disconnect the air hose and repair the leak.
3.
Put on the impact safety glasses, full face shield, and ear plugs.
4.
While holding the Air Hammer with both hands, squeeze the Trigger (16) to
begin chiseling.
Let the Air Hammer do the work. Do not lay into the Air Hammer with great
force.
5.
If necessary, turn the Regulator (4) to adjust the air flow within the Air
Hammer.
6.
When finished chiseling, release the Trigger (16), and remove the air supply
hose.
7.
Place the chisel against a piece of scrap and squeeze the Trigger again to
release any remaining air pressure in the Air Hammer.
