The wires in the mains lead are coloured
accordin g to the followin g code:
Blue: Neutral
Brown Live
As the colours of the wires in the mains lead
of this applianc e may not correspo nd to the
colour coding of the terminal s in your plug,
proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured blue must be
connecte d to the terminal which is marked
with the letter N or coloured black
The wire which is coloured brown must be
connecte d to the terminal which is marked
with the letter L or coloured red.
Under no circumst ances should cut-off
mains plugs be used. They should be
disposed of immedia tely. Defectiv e mains
leads must be complet ely replaced .
Only 3 A spare fuses must be used as
approved by ASTA accordin g to BS 1362
and the fuse cover must be marked 3 A or
with the correspo nding colour code.
The plug must never be used without fuse
covers. Spare fuse covers are available from
electrica l supplier s or the PFAFF agencies .
