3. In cold weather and when the engine is cold, turn the choke knob to the CLOSE
position.

4. Pull the starter grip lightly until you feel resistance, then pull briskly.
ARTER GRIP
NOTE: Don't allow the rope to snap back; return it gently by hand. Otherwise,
the starting mechanism might be damaged. While the engine is in operation, don't
pull the starter grip or damage may result.
