11. TROUBLESHOOTING
GRASS CUTTING

OR POOR CUTTING
PERFORMANCE
1. Check that throttle
lever is in FAST
( * 1 position.
2. Reduce forward
speed.
3. Check cutting
height adjustment

PGSSIBLE CAUSE
Engine speed is too slow to
cut well.
Mower is moving too fast for
lawn conditions.
Adjustment levers set at
different positions.
CORRECTKIN
Move throttle lever to FAST 1 Ib(
position (p 28).
Use a slower forward speed (p 13 8
14) or push manually.)
Set all four levers in the same cuttin!

4. Check grass bag.
5. Check cutter deck
and blade
Grass bag is overfilled or
clogged.
Cutter deck is clogged. Blade
is dull, worn, or damaged.
Empty grass bag, and wash the bag
necessary
Clean out cutter deck. Check blade

Blade is loose bent,
damaged, or unbalanced by
improper sharpening.
CORRECTION
Tighten loose blade bolts. Replace
blade if necessary (p 18 & 51).
2. Take mower to Mechanical damage. such a
dealer for repair. bent crankshaft.
Take mower to dealer, or refer to shol
manual.
