IMPORTANT INFORMATION
• ONLY connect one amplifier to your bass speaker
enclosure(s). Two amplifiers WILL NOT work and may
damage your equipment.
• DO NOT connect speakers with a total impedance load
below the minimum rating of your amplifier to prevent
damage to your equipment. See Impedance Guidelines.
•ONLY connect speakers with a total power handling
capacity that is above the power output rating of your
amplifier to prevent damage to your equipment.
• ALWAYS switch your system power OFF before
connecting or disconnecting speakers.
• ONLY use unshielded speaker cable of 18 gauge or
heavier (such as 16 or 14 gauge) for speaker
connections. Shielded instrument cable WILL NOT work
and may damage your equipment.
• SWR
®
RECOMMENDS removing the casters from the
WorkingPro™ 4X10T during performance so the cabinet
contacts the floor, extending your bass response.

INPUT PANEL

Tweeter Attenuator Control {A}
This level control adjusts the loudness of the tweeter
(high–frequencies). A normal setting for this control is
straight up (twelve o'clock). Turn the dial fully counter-
clockwise to remove the tweeter from the circuit. Turn the
dial clockwise to increase the high frequency content. NOTE:
Any amplifier clipping (distortion) that occurs will always be
accentuated by the tweeter. Turn down the master volume
on your amplifier to reduce the clipping. See Troubleshooting
below if clipping persists.
An internal (passive) crossover divides the signal, sending
frequencies above 5kHz to the tweeter and those below
5kHz to the drivers.
Input and Output Jacks {B & C}
WorkingPro™ Series speaker enclosures feature both
1/4" {B} and Speakon
flexibility in making your speaker connections. Use the
Speakon
®
jacks whenever possible to take advantage of their
superior power transfer efficiency and locking connectors.
All four jacks are full range and wired in parallel.
Multiple Speaker Enclosures {D}
You can connect multiple WorkingPro™ speaker enclosures
to your amplifier within limits (see Impedance Guidelines
below). Connect the first speaker to your amplifier as usual,
then connect the second speaker to an OUTPUT jack on the
first speaker, and so on.
IMPEDANCE GUIDELINES
Use the impedance ratings on your amplifier and speakers to
determine if a par ticular combination of speakers is
appropriate for your amplifier. NOTE: All SWR
enclosures (and most others) are wired in parallel
(NOT series), therefore, these Impedance Guidelines apply
only to parallel speaker connections. The Illustration below
shows the total impedance loads of various combinations of
speakers connected in parallel.
