1.4.3 Setup with Windows XP Professional Embedded When you first turn on the PWS-8101M, the following setup screens will appear. Follow these instructions to validate your version of Windows XP and set up your system cor- rectly . The Welcome screen appears. T ap Next to continue. - Page 15 Enter a name to identify your PWS-8101M. This the name by which it will be rec- ognized on all connected networks. Y ou can also enter a description if required. T ap Next to continue. Enter an administrator password and re-confirm. T ap Next to continue.

Y ou can connect the PWS-8101M to an external monitor for enhanced viewing. Con- nect one end of a VGA cable to the VGA port on the right side of the PWS-8101M. Con- nect the other end to the VGA port on the monitor. - Page 22 Y ou can connect to either a home or work network using the RJ-45 port. Connect one end of the network cable to the RJ-45 port on the left side of the PWS-8101M and the other to your network hub or wall socket.

Contact a wireless service provider for more information. The PWS-8101M comes pre-loaded with WLAN module, you can send and receive signals to a WiFi network then synchronize files. A wireless network can be added either when the network is detected or by manually entering settings information. -
