OPERATION GUIDE

3 Basic Operation

The basic method for sending documents is described below.
1
Press [FAX]. The FAX indicator is lit and the
facsimile enters FAX mode.
FAX ready screen is displayed on the
message display.

Place the original document to transmit in
the document processor or on the platen.
NOTE:
Refer to the Operation Guide for
how to place the original. Max. 50 sheets
can be placed on the document processor.

Press [Quality] repeatedly until your
desired image quality is displayed on the
message display.
Mode
Description
Select this mode if the original contains standard size text.
STD.
Select this mode if the original contains small size text or thin lines.
Fine
Select this mode if the original contains smaller size text or fine
S-Fine
lines.
Select this mode if the original contains photographs.
Photo
NOTE:
Default setting of image quality can be changed. For details, refer to
Default Settings (image quality and brightness) on page 5-3.
