Traynor Small Block 200 Bass Guitar Amplifiers
Traynor Small Block SB110, SB112, SB115 and SB200H
Thank you for choosing one of the Traynor Small Block series amplifiers. You'll discover that
these bass amps sound "right" with a minimum amount of effort and knob twirling, delivering
great tone and making them perfect for practically any performance. Best of all, its extremely
lightweight and compact; this will make setups and tear-downs a great deal easier.
When you need the extras, they're all here:
• The power LED displays the status of the amplifier, including power up, ready and fault.
• Inputs are provided for standard Passive pickups (0 dB) and extra-hot or Active pickups (-6 dB).
• An AUX input jack for playing external audio from media players.
• The Gain control lets you dial-in the perfect amount of volume, sensitivity, clarity,
warmth (or even overdrive).
• The Master volume control (SB115 only) controls the overall volume.
• The Low expander control tailors your sound precisely and uniquely by extending the
lows while reducing the mids.
• Active Bass, Low-Mid, Hi-Mid and Treble tone controls provide up to 15dB of cut or boost.
• A separate Tuner Out jack (in the SB200H only) lets you keep your tuner connected
without affecting the signal quality.
• The Mute button cuts the audio signal to the speaker without affecting the Tuner output.
• The balanced XLR Line Out is selectable via rear-panel pushbutton (on SB200H
only) between Pre-EQ (dry) or Post-EQ (wet), the SB110 and SB112 are post-EQ
while the SB115 is pre-EQ.
• ¼-inch/Speakon™ Combi-jack Speaker Output jack (SB200H only). Minimum load is 4 ohms.
• Phones jack connects headphones for practicing silently, or for monitoring in the studio;
please note that connected to headphones disconnects signal to the main amp.
• A full-range speaker system with acoustically matched and precisely crossed-over
low and high-frequency drivers (Small Block combos only).
• A Tweeter Defeat/Active switch on the Traynor Small Block SB110, SB112 and SB115
combo amps allow greater note definition or a softer vintage sound.
Please take a little time to read the following instructions; then plug in, switch on, and
unleash your musical creativity!
1. Status LED and Power Switch
The power LED displays the status and condition of the amplifier. When powering up the
Traynor Small Block, the LED will illuminate red for a few moments and then turn blue when
the amp is ready to go. If a fault is detected, the LED will constantly illuminate red (see note).
Note: The power LED also illuminates red when the Mute is engaged on the SB200H. This
feature enables you to know that the Mute is activated and that the audio signal has been
disconnected on all outputs except for the Tuner.
