Java Applications

Java Applications
Some Java applications can run with the flip open or the flip closed. Others can be run
only with the flip open.
When you are running an application, you can suspend the application. This sends the
application to the background so that you can run another application in the foreground.
You can resume the suspended application at any time. This brings it to the foreground.
You cannot suspend or resume applications with the flip closed.
Note: Using Java applications may cause your Smartphone to use up more battery
power than other uses of your Smartphone.
Using Java Applications With the Flip Open
Run a Java application

From the Home screen, select Start.

Select the Java application you want to run.
Suspend a Java application
• Press m.
• Close the flip. If the Java application cannot run with the flip closed, it is suspended.
View suspended application

From the Home screen, select Start.

Select Java Control Panel.

Select Menu and then select Suspended Apps.
Resume a Java application
• While viewing the list of suspended applications, select the application you want to
resume.
Ending the Java application running in the foreground
• Select Menu and then select End App.
Ending a Java application running in the background

From the list of all Java applications or the screen showing the suspended
application, select the application you want to end.

Select Menu and then select End App.
Ending all Java applications

From the list of all Java applications or the screen showing the suspended
application, select Menu and then select End All.

Select Yes to confirm.

If you want to end all applications without letting them exit, select End Now.
Exit the Java Control Panel
• Press h.
