CLEANING THE THERMAL PRINT HEAD

PRECAUTIONS FOR CLEANING THE THERMAL PRINT HEAD
Do not clean the thermal print head immediately after printing. Allow the thermal print
head to cool before cleaning.
Clean the thermal head with printer cover open.
Do not use sandpaper, box cutter or knife etc. for cleaning. These items will damage
the heat element.
If the surface of the thermal print head is exposed to dirt, clean the thermal print head
to avoid poor print quality and damage to print head.
Procedures for Cleaning the Thermal Print Head
Turn off the power before cleaning.
Open the printer cover.
Clean the thermal print head heat element and printer detector using a cotton swab
soaked in ethyl or isopropyl alcohol.
Close the cover after the alcohol has dried completely.
