C-Media Sound Solution
OVERVIEW AND ACKNOWLEDGMENTS
C-Media 6 Channel Audio offers a new generation in audio solution:
it utilizes the state-of-the-art CRL® 3D Audio technology (HRTF 3D
positional audio), and supports Microsoft® DirectSound ® 3D and
Aureal®'s A3D® interfaces. Better yet, it supports 2/4/6 speakers
and DLS based (DownLoadable Sound) wave table music
synthesizer which supports the DirectMusic®. Besides being
legacy audio SB pro® compatible and providing professional
SPDIF IN/OUT non-distortion digital interface, it also supports
MPU-401 interface, dual game ports, etc. What we provide at the
side card are line-in/rear speaker jack, microphone jack, audio
output jack, SPDIF/OUT jack, and 15pin D-SUB multiplexed
joystick/MIDI
In additional, CMI8738 plus C-Media XeaR technology to brings
forth a true earphone revolution in the way sound is heard and
enjoyed in the multi-channel audio environment. Simply via an
open-aired ear/headphone-like structure device, C-Media XeaR
technology is capable of providing virtual rear sound effect
compensation for the multi-channel audio system. For other virtues,
C-Media XeaR technology helps to eliminate installation works (for
example, speaker placement and installations), reduce the cost for
purchasing rear speakers, and above all, retain major vintage
benefits provide by the multi-channel audio system (accurate
HRTF 3D, impressive EAXTM effects, to name a few).
