The Snooze Bar
Like any good alarm clock, Squeezebox Boom has a snooze bar. While the
alarm is sounding, tapping the large bar on the top panel will delay the
alarm. The button on the remote control (located between the
sleep
and buttons) also functions as a snooze button while the alarm is
power
sounding.
The default snooze length is nine minutes. If you have installed
SqueezeCenter, you may change the snooze length:
1. Launch the SqueezeCenter web interface
2. Select Settings
3. Click on the Player tab
4. From the left pull-down list, select the player you want to confi gure
(this step is not necessary if you have only one Squeezebox player)
5. From the right pull-down list, select
6. Scroll to the bottom of the page and adjust the slider labeled
Length (in minutes).
Sleep Mode
As covered earlier, when the alarm is sounding, the large bar on Squeezebox
Boom's top panel functions as a snooze bar. The rest of the time, it controls
sleep mode, allowing you to set a timer for your Squeezebox Boom to
automatically turn itself off. The
serves the same function.
• Press and hold the bar once (or tap the
to turn off Squeezebox Boom at the end of the song.
• Press and hold it again (or tap the
to turn off Squeezebox Boom after 15 minutes.
• Continue holding the bar on the top panel (or tapping the
button on the remote) to set the sleep time to 30 minutes, 45
minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes and, fi nally, to cancel sleep mode.
