My heater switches itself off after a while and won't come back on even though I haven't touched it. It is not tipped and there is nothing obstructing it

A DeLonghi Ceramic Fan Heater could switch off automatically and not turn back on due to the following reasons:

1. Overheating: If the heater overheats, it will turn off. You should remove the cause of overheating, wait a few minutes, and then plug it in again.

2. Tip-over switch: If the heater tips over or is not in a proper vertical position, it will shut off. Restore it to a vertical position and it will restart within a few seconds.

3. Temperature or timer setting: The heater may turn off if the set temperature is reached or if the timer runs out.

4. Obstructed vents: Blocking the intake or outlet grilles can cause overheating, leading to automatic shutoff.

5. Improper battery in remote: If the remote control battery is not installed correctly, it may affect operation. Ensure the battery is inserted with the correct polarity.

These safety features are built in to prevent hazards and ensure proper function.
