    TELEPHONE PART IDENTIFICATION Liquid Crystal Display - Displays the phone number, date and time and other information. One-Touch Memories - Phone numbers can be stored for speed dialing. Call Back a. When reviewing Caller ID or phone book records, press to dial the saved number.

    MESSAGE WAITING SETUP The 8782 Message Waiting switch (see Item 18 for location) provides 4 positions for different types of message waiting compatibility with a wide variety of message waiting sources. See the descriptions below to choose the switch position for your type of Message Waiting.
  • Page 8 (1-16) and press DEL/ SET to confirm. Set the Ring Volume - The 8782 offers a choice of 8 different ring volumes. After setting the ring melody, press CLID to select the desired ring volume (1-8) and press DEL/SET to confirm.

    OPERATION TELEPHONE Make a Call - Pick up the handset or press to get dial tone and dial the number. When the called party answers, the LCD will time the call automatically. Answer a Call - Pick up the handset or press answer a call.

    Pause - Press REDIAL/PAUSE to insert a pause in a speed dial number. Redial a. Last Number – Go off hook. Press REDIAL/PAUSE and the last number dialed will be dialed out. b. Review – While on-hook press REDIAL/PAUSE repeatedly to review the last 16 dialed numbers.

    PHONE BOOK Store Phone Book Memories – While on-hook, press LCD will display ADD SEARCH. a. Press CLID to add. Enter the name using the keypad. Use 0 to add a space. Use DEL/SET to delete characters. b. Press to enter the telephone number. Press to save and enter another name and phone number.

    MAINTENANCE INFORMATION Treat your telephone with care for trouble-free performance. Avoid dropping the handset. Carefully place the handset on-hook after use. Avoid putting near heating appliances and devices that generate electrical noise (for example, motors and florescent lamps). Clean your telephone with a damp cloth. Stains may be removed with a mild soap.

    TELEPHONE SERVICE PROBLEMS If you have any problems with your telephone equipment service, determine if the problem is with your unit or the telephone company lines. BEFORE CALLING THE TELEPHONE COMPANY. Be aware that they may charge you for a service call if the problem is caused by your telephone equipment.

    TELEPHONE REPAIR DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REPAIR THIS PRODUCT YOURSELF. Telephones manufactured by CORTELCO must be returned to us for repair. You can return your telephone to CORTELCO for repair or replacement in accordance with our LIMITED WARRANTY. CORTELCO warrants THIS PRODUCT against defects in material and workmanship in accordance with our LIMITED WARRANTY.

    FCC INFORMATION Part 68 is a Federal regulation which requires equipment to be tested and registered with the FCC prior to its connection to the network. This equipment complies with Part 68 of FCC rules. On the bottom of the telephone is a label that contains, among other information, the FCC Registration Number and the Ringer Equivalence Number (REN) for this equipment.

    (2) years from the date of original purchase. This warranty is in lieu of all other express warranties. During the warranty period, CORTELCO agrees to repair or, at its option, replace the defective product, or any part of it without charge for parts or labor.
