The Dell™ PowerEdge™ R300 is a dependable space-saving server that provides exceptional reliability,
availability, and performance with single-socket Intel processors, more memory and internal storage.
The Dell PowerEdge R300 is a single-socket, rack-dense
server which provides exceptional reliability, availability
and performance. The PowerEdge R300 is designed
to provide maximum energy efficiency and leading
performance per watt.
Exceptional Performance & Leading Energy
Efficiency
The PowerEdge R300 features an advanced one-socket
chipset and processors specifically designed for excellent
performance and availability. With Intel
processing and up to 24 GB of memory  —   t hree times
the capacity of competitive 1-socket x86 servers  —   t he
R300 provides stable performance for memory-intensive
applications.
Energy efficiency is a fundamental design criterion for
all PowerEdge servers. With the introduction of the
PowerEdge R300, Dell is bringing this feature to the entry-
level rack server market. The low-voltage processor offered
on PowerEdge R300 is designed to provide additional gains
in both power efficiency and performance per watt.
Trusted Reliability & Security
With high-availability features like hot-plug hard drives
and redundant power supplies, the PowerEdge R300
helps prevent the loss of data and productivity. And with
authentication through an array of diagnostic tests prior
to shipping, it's designed to increase uptime and boost
productivity from the moment you switch it on.
Recognizing the importance of information security,
the PowerEdge R300 is designed to help ensure the
confidentiality, integrity and availability of data. Standard
features include a locked-down internal USB port,
chassis intrusion switch, locking bezels and a built-in
Trusted Platform Module (TPM)
authentication, assists with encryption and helps prevent
tampering.
Built-in Scalability
Other key features include two PCI Express slots and dual
embedded Gigabit NICs, two non 3.5-inch SATA or SAS
hard drives (option for hot-plug or non-plug), optional
redundant power supply, optional remote management,

and optional RAID, which make it ideal for handling a
variety of business tasks. These include web hosting, video
streaming, file/print server for SMB (Small and Medium
