    Please read the safety instructions carefully before using this ap- pliance. Please retain the instructions for future reference. SAFETY MEASURES When using your appliance, the following basic safety precautions should always be followed: Before using for the first time, check that the appli- ance voltage is the same as your local supply.

    SPECIAL SAFETY MEASURES Before using the appliance make sure that the bowl for coffee beans does not contain foreign matter and that it is clean and dry. Do not switch the appliance on without coffee beans. Do not immerse the coffee grinder in water or other liquids.

    3. Make sure that the voltage designation on the unit corre- sponds to the local mains voltage. Plug in the appliance. 4. Set necessary grinding mode by means of regulator (3). 5. Before switching on the coffee grinder, be sure that the lid is properly closed.
