♦ Don't spill liquids on the keyboard. If you do spill a liquid that
gets into the keyboard, turn off the computer as soon as possi
ble and allow it to dry overnight before using it again.
♦ Don't turn off the computer if a drive is being accessed. Turn
ing off the computer while it is reading from or writing to a
storage device can result in damage to the storage media, the
drive, or both.
♦ Keep the computer and diskettes away from devices that gen
erate strong magnetic fields, such as large stereo speakers.
Placing a magnet too close to a diskette can erase the files.
♦ Scan all new files for viruses. Scanning for viruses is especially
important for files you receive via diskette, email, or download
