  • Page 4 CAL. W524 TIME/CALENDAR The watch indicates the hour with the hour indicator bars and the minutes and seconds in numerals. Month, date and day of the week are displayed in the CALENDAR display. The month is also indicated by the month indicator bars.

    TIME/CALENDAR MODE Hour/month indication: The number of lighted bars indicates the hour/month. The calendar automatically adjusts for odd and even months except February of leap years. SHOWING THE CALENDAR DISPLAY Press and hold in TIME/CALENDAR mode. * While the button is kept pressed, the CALENDAR display is shown instead of the TIME display.   • Page 7 TIME/CALENDAR SETTING Press for 2 to 3 seconds in TIME/CALEN- DAR mode. Press to select the digits/bars to be ad- justed. Seconds Minutes Hour Date Month Press to set the flashing digits. Press to return to TIME display.

    ALARM MODE The alarm can be set to ring on a 24-hour basis. ALARM TIME SETTING ALARM display Press to show ALARM mode. Hour indicator bars indicator Press for 2 to 3 seconds. Press to select the digits/bars to be ad- justed.

    ALARM ENGAGEMENT/DISENGAGEMENT With each press in ALARM mode, the alarm is alternately engaged and disen- gaged. * When the alarm is engaged, the alarm engage- ment indicator is displayed. * At the designated time, the alarm rings for 20 seconds. To stop it manually, press any of the buttons in any mode.

    NOTES ON USING THE WATCH TIME/CALENDAR MODE [TIME/CALENDAR SETTING] The TIME or CALENDAR display is shown according to the digits/bars selected. While the second digits are flashing, press button D in accordance with a time signal. The seconds are reset to “00”. When the seconds read any number from “30” to “59” and button D is pressed, one minute is added and the seconds are reset to “00”.
  • Page 11 When the illuminating light becomes dim, replace the battery with a new one. If the illuminating light remains dim after the battery is replaced, have the electroluminescent panel replaced with a new one by the retailer from whom the watch was purchased, or an AUTHORIZED SEIKO DEALER. It will be replaced at cost.

    For battery replacement, we recommend that you contact an AUTHORIZED SEIKO DEALER and request SEIKO CR2025 battery. * The battery life may be less than 3 years if the alarm is used for more than 10 seconds a day and/or the illuminating light more than once a day.
