The TEAC DVD-R/-RW drive can write to DVD-R discs at up to 4X speed, rewrite to DVD-RW discs at 2X speed, and play DVD movies at 12X speed. The drive can also write to CD-R discs at up to 16X speed, rewrite to CD-RW discs at 8X speed, and read CD-ROM discs at 32X speed.

Configuring the DVD-R/-RW Drive Chapter 2. Configuring and Installing the DVD-R/-RW Drive This chapter explains how to configure and install the TEAC DVD-R/-RW drive in your computer. Configuring the DVD-R/-RW Drive The DVD-R/-RW drive features five pairs of jumper pins on the rear panel. By placing the jumper on the appropriate pair of pins, you can set the drive to Master, Slave, or CSEL mode (see Figures 4 and 5).
