- press button L 4 to scroll upwards
- press button M 4 to scroll downwards
- press "RCL" again for returning to preceding
measurement mode
• Adding/subtracting measured values
- after taking a measurement, press the "+" or the "-"
button (a plus-sign or a minus-sign appears in the
display)
- press "GO" to switch on the laser beam (the fi rst
measured value appears on top line of display)
- press "GO" again for measuring (the second
measured value appears on top line of display while
the sum of the two measured values appears on
bottom line of display)
• Clearing measurements
- press "CLR" for clearing the last individual measured
value
- older measurements can be cleared by fi rst pressing
"RCL", then using the "+" or the "-" button until the
unwanted value appears on the bottom line of the
display, and fi nally pressing "CLR" twice (press
"RCL" again for returning to preceding measurement
mode)
- in surface measurement mode the width and
calculated surface cannot be cleared
- in volume measurement mode the width and
calculated volume cannot be cleared
- in indirect height measurement mode the diagonal
line length and calculated height cannot be cleared
• Faulty measurement
- when the measurement is unsuccessful, "Error"
appears in display
- determine the cause, take corrective action, and take
the measurement again
Possible causes for faulty measurement:
- conditions too bright -> the ambient light is too bright
- target out of range -> the measuring range for this
tool is 0.3 - 80 m
- target too dark -> the target surface refl ects poorly
- temperature too high -> the optimum operating
termperature is 0°C to 40°C
- temperature too low -> the optimum operating
termperature is 0°C to 40°C
- low battery -> replace the batteries
- strong vibration -> tool was moved during measuring
- wrong input -> when indirect height measuring, the
second measurement must be longer than the fi rst
measurement

APPLICATION ADVICE

• Belt bag for easy and convenient storage %
• Do not expose the tool to continuous vibration or
extremely hot or cold temperatures
• Always keep the tool free of dust, moisture and direct
sunlight
• Clean the tool with a damp cloth and mild soap
! always remove the batteries before cleaning the
lens
• Do not disassemble or modify the tool in any way
• Do not attempt to change any part of the laser lens

statutory/country-specifi c regulations; damage due to
normal wear and tear, overload or improper handling will
be excluded from the guarantee
• In case of a complaint, send the tool undismantled
together with proof of purchase to your dealer or the

waste material (only for EU countries)
