Changing recording information display

You can switch between various information shown on the LCD monitor, such as guide
lines and recording information.
In Recording Mode

• Reference for composition (e.g. balance) when
recording.
During menu display, Multi playback or Calendar playback: Display cannot be changed.
Guide lines are not displayed in [PHOTO FRAME] Scene Mode.

Taking pictures with self-timer

Recording Mode:
We recommend using a tripod. This is also effective for correcting jitter when pressing the
shutter button, by setting the self-timer to 2 seconds.
Self-timer indicator
(Flashes for set duration)
When set to [BURST], three pictures are taken. When set to the [FLASH BURST]
Scene Mode, five pictures are taken.
Focus will be automatically adjusted immediately before recording if shutter button is
pressed fully here.
After self-timer lamp stops flashing, it may then be lit for AF assist lamp.
This function cannot be used in [HI-SPEED BURST] Scene Mode.
In [SELF PORTRAIT] Scene Mode, [10SEC.] is not available.
Touch
on the Quick menu (→17)
• You can also set by touching [SELFTIMER]
in the [REC] menu
Touch the time to be set
• If you are not going to use the self-timer,
touch
[OFF].
• Touch [EXIT] to return to the original screen.
Take a picture
Press the shutter button fully to start recording
after the preset time.
• To cancel while in operation
→Touch [CANCEL]
