(13) into the two eyelets (G) (Fig.3).
4. Open the door of the one-piece socket (E); in-
sert the moulded plug (3) until a click is heard
(Fig. 4). Make sure that it is firmly connected
before proceeding any further. To release the
sheath, simply press the release key (E1) and
at the same time remove the moulded plug (3).
5. Plug the power cable (F) into a suitable earthed
outlet.
1a. Press the ON/OFF switch (B). The ON lamp (C)
and the steam pressure indicator lamp (D) will
both light up.
2a. Wait for the pressure indicator lamp (D) to ex-
tinguish (about 10 minutes). Vaporetto is now
ready for use.
3a. The steam sprayer (2) has a safety button (2A)
that prevents accidental activation of the steam
delivery system by a child or other persons
unaware of how the device works. To prevent
the accidental output of steam press the button
(2A). To resume delivery press the button (2A)
in the opposite direction and operate the steam
control lever (4) (Fig. 5).
The first jet of steam may contain some water
droplets, due to imperfect thermic stabilisation
inside the flexible hose. We would therefore ad-
vise that the first jet of steam is played onto an
old cloth until a constant steam flow is obtained.
Note: The steam pressure indicator (D) may go
on and off from time to time during use of Vapo-
retto, this is quite normal
VERY IMPORTANT WARNING: If you press the
steam request lever (4) when the appliance is still
under pressure, even if it is off and not connected to
the wiring system, you may still experience steam
escaping from the flexible hose. So when you swit-
ch off the appliance, before storing it, it is necces-
sary to press the lever (4) till the steam flow is
exhausted.
• To connect the extension tubes (7) to the grip, the
large brush (8) and the adapter (5), simply join
them to one another until the accessory locking
button (11) clicks into place (Fig. 6).
• To release the accessories simply hold the button
(11) down and separate the components (Fig. 6).
• Before using the accessories, make sure that they
are firmly in place.
WARNING: To connect the accessories (6) and
(12), it is necessary to fasten the adapter first (5).
VAPORETTO POCKET
Once the adapter is secured in place, block the ac-
cessory and lock it by turning it in the direction of
the arrow on it (Fig.7).
This appliance is equipped with the patented safety
cap, which prevents opening of the boiler as long as
there is any pressure remaining inside. This is an
important and indispensable safety device, and it is
necessary to follow certain procedures when re-fil-
ling the boiler.
When no more steam comes out of the appliance,
do as follows:
• Switch off the machine at the on/off switch (B).
• Press the steam request button (4) on the steam
gun (2) so as to fully exhaust the steam supply
from the boiler.
• Disconnect the power supply cable (F) from the
mains.
• Wait for a few minutes to allow the generator boi-
ler to cool down.
• Unscrew anti-clockwise the patented safety cap
(A).
• When cool, proceed to carefully refill the boiler as
described in paragraph 1 of the section "Prepara-
tion for Use". If refilling the generator when not
completely cooled, we recommend that you then
CAREFULLY pour only very small quantities of
water at each pouring, so as to avoid spitting
from the boiler. Cover exposed skin whilst filling.
• For cleaning leather, wood or delicate fabrics,
consult the surface manufacturers instructions.
Clean only by using the hand gun at a safe di-
stance together with a soft cloth and always do a
test on a non visible part of the item first or on a
sample. Allow the test area to dry completely
before observing results and effects on surface
or colour before proceeding to clean further
areas, making sure that exactly the same distan-
ce and technique are applied as for the test area.
DO NOT USE ON DRAYLON, VELVET OR
OTHER SIMILAR PILE OR DELICATE SURFA-
CES
• For cleaning wood surfaces (furniture, doors etc.)
or brickwork floors take great care as a too long
application of the steam could alter the waxed
appearance, the shine or the colour of the surfa-
ces cleaned. We therefore recommend you to
apply the steam on such surfaces only for brief
periods or to clean these surfaces using a cloth
first held in the steam.
