Using other features during a call

Adjusting the earpiece or speaker volume

Muting the microphone
Tap
during a call to mute your phone's microphone so that the other party cannot hear you. Tap
to turn the mute off.
Using the speakerphone
Tap
to turn on the speakerphone during a call. Tap
Activating the screen while talking
Your phone's proximity sensor detects when you raise the phone to your ear and automatically turns off
the screen. This not only saves battery power, but also prevents you from inadvertently operating the screen
while talking.
Note that if you turn off the screen while on a call, the call will continue.
Entering numbers during a call

during a call if you need to enter numbers, such as when navigating a call centre's voice guided
menu system.
