Problem
While programming, the
cordless handset starts to

Cause & Solution
R A call is being received. Answer the call and start again after hanging up.
R The cordless handset is not registered to the base unit. Register it
(page 50).
R The cordless handset is too far from the base unit. Move closer.
R The mains lead is not connected. Check the connections.
R You are using the cordless handset or base unit in an area with high
electrical interference. Re-position the base unit and use the cordless
handset away from sources of interference.
R The ringer volume is turned OFF. Adjust it (page 21).
R Place the cordless handset and the base unit away from other electrical
appliances.
R Move closer to the base unit.
R You are using the cordless handset or base unit in an area with high
electrical interference. Re-position the base unit and use the cordless
handset away from sources of interference.
R Move closer to the base unit.
R If you use a DSL/ADSL service, we recommend connecting a DSL/ADSL
filter between the base unit and the telephone line jack. Contact your DSL/
