Troubleshooting
Verify the coax cable to the over-the-air antenna IN port is hand-tight and
connected to your over-the-air antenna.
Verify your antenna has not been moved out of proper alignment. This can
cause signal loss on some or all channels.
Reset the receiver by first powering it off, then unplugging it from the outlet
for 15 seconds, and plugging it back in. Power the receiver back on.
Check the signal strength on your channels. Using the remote control, press
MENU, select Setup, System Setup, Channel Setup, then Add a New Channel.
Find the channel in question and verify that it has a strong signal. Channels
showing signal strength below 60 may experience signal loss.
The Channel Master CM-7000PAL DVR is only able to tune to digital channels
and therefore will not tune to a channel that is still broadcasting in analog.
Visit
www.antennaweb.org
to find out which channels in your area are
broadcasting in digital or analog.
To tune to an analog channel using your analog TV, press the
ANALOG
PASS-THRU
button on the remote control, then tune to the channel using
your TV's remote control.
Press the
button; it should illuminate. For another device that isn't
responding, press that device's
MODE
button (for example, press
TV
control a TV).
Replace batteries with four new alkaline AAA batteries. Be sure the batteries
are installed as indicated on the diagram inside the battery compartment.
To program your remote control for another device, refer to the User Guide.
Verify event timers are set as DVR timers, not as Auto-Tune timers.
If you run out of space on the DVR, unprotected events are erased, starting
with the oldest. Protect those you want to keep.
