Down-mixing, Center Focus, Super Surround, Super Woofer (A page
27) and Subwoofer level (A page 27) cannot be performed if
headphones are connected ("ERROR" appears on the display).
•
You may experience a reduction in sound quality when these sound
field systems are used with some sources. If this occurs, turn the
sound field system off.
•
The following functions may not work depending on the discs
recording.
Down-mixing
You can output the down-mixed 2 channel signals when necessary.
Press [SHIFT] + [MIX 2CH].
Each time you press the button:
MIX 2CH ON ↔ MIX 2CH OFF

When "D.MIX" flashes on the display, the disc contains multiple-
channel signals that cannot be down-mixed.

Dolby Pro Logic II is an advanced decoder that derives 5-channel
surround (Left and Right Front, Center, Left and Right Surround)
