    1. Introduction The Gigabit Cardbus Adapter comes with a 32-bit bus architecture and full-duplex capability which allows for an unmatched high-speed network performance. By providing smooth connections to 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps and Gigabit Ethernet environments, the Gigabit Cardbus Adapter is the ultimate solution for the Cardbus equipped laptops.

    Step 3 Connect one end of the Ethernet cable into an available switch/router port and connect the other end of the cable into the RJ-45 port of the Cardbus. Step 4 Follow the instructions in the next section to install the drivers. 3.
  • Page 5 Step 2 Insert the provided Driver CD into the CD-ROM drive. Step 3 Select Search for the best driver for your device (Recommended) and click Next. Step 4 Select Specify a location and click Browse. Browse to the CD-ROM drive and select the Win98 folder.

    3.2 Windows Me Step 1 At the Add New Hardware Wizard, select Specify the location of the driver (Advanced) and click Next. Step 2 Insert the provided Driver CD into the CD-ROM drive. Step 3 Verify Search for the best driver for your device (Recommended) is selected. Select Specify a location and click Browse.

    3.3 Windows 2000 Step 1 At the Found New Hardware Wizard, click Next. Step 2 Insert the provided Driver CD into the CD-ROM drive. Step 3 Select Search for a suitable driver for my device (recommended) and click Next.
  • Page 10 Step 4 Select Specify a location and click Next. Step 5 Browse to the CD-Rom drive and select the Win2000 folder and click OK.

    3.4 Windows XP Step 1 At the Found New Hardware Wizard, select Install from a list or specific location (Advanced) and click Next. Step 2 Insert the provided Driver CD into the CD-ROM drive. Step 3 Verify Search for the best driver in these locations is selected, and select the Include this location in the search check box and click Browse.

    4. Verifying Installation Follow the steps below to verify if the Cardbus is installed successfully. Step 1 Right-click on My Computer from your desktop and choose Properties. Step 2 Select the Device Manager tab. (For Windows 2000/XP, select the Hardware tab first then click on Device Manager).
