Rewind and Fast Forward
Press the < button on the Remote Control or turn the
rewind
the left.
Press the > button on the Remote Control or turn the
fast forward
to the right.

SQPB
This VCR is equipped with SQPB (S-VHS QUASI PLAYBACK) that lets you
watch tapes recorded in the S-VHS format and the SP mode, with regular VHS
resolution.
NOTES:
• SQPB does not deliver Super VHS resolution.
• S-VHS recording is not possible with this VCR.
• When you play back a tape recorded in S-VHS format and the SP mode, noise
may appear in the still, slow motion, or frame-by-frame playback mode.
• Depending on the tape, noise may appear during normal playback.

Video Heads Cleaning

Use a dry cleaning cassette — JVC TCL-2U — in the following cases:
• Rough, poor picture appears while a tape is played back.
• The picture is unclear or no picture appears.
• 'USE CLEANING CASSETTE' appears on the screen (only with 'O.S.D.' set to
'ON' ( pg. 44)).
