Refer to this section, before contacting technical support.
If two thin lines appear on your screen (damper wires)
The lines you are experiencing on your screen are normal for all
Aperture Grille monitors and are not a malfunction. These are
shadows from the damper wires used to stabilize the aperture grille
and are most noticeable when the screen's background is light
(usually white). The aperture grille is the essential element that
makes an NF Diamondtron picture tube unique by allowing more
light to reach the screen, resulting in a brighter, more detailed
picture.
Damper
Moiré
Moiré is a type of natural interference which produces soft or wavy
lines on your screen. It may appear due to interference between the
regulated pattern of the picture from the input signal and the
phosphor pitch pattern of the CRT. Refer to "Clear Moiré" on page 17
for more detail.
