Installing the telephone base The telephone base should be placed at least 1 meter away from other electrical appliances in order to avoid interference. The handset exchanges radio signals with the telephone base. The strength of these signals depends on the position of the base. You can obtain a stronger signal by placing the base higher.
When you are not using your handset, place it on the charger so that you can always have fully charged batteries. WARNING DO NOT USE STANDARD OR ALKALINE BATTERIES. THEY MAY EXPLODE AND CAUSE INJURY. ONLY USE RECHARGEABLE NI-MH BATTERIES AS INDICATED IN THIS USER MANUAL.
ICON DESCRIPTION FUNCTION DEFINITION When there is new call coming, press this key to receive the call. Talk / H.F During conversation, press this key to transfer handset and hands-free mode. Icon Description Function The antenna icon will always be shown on the LCD, it indicates for signal strength, flashes when the handset is out of range, disappear ANTENNA when registration to base is lost. The icon will be displayed when the user has pressed TALK key OFF HOOK The alarm icon will be shown as steady on when the alarm is set.
Menu Operation SWITCHING ON/OFF THE HANDSET When your handset is off, press and hold the red key until the screen turns on. To switch off the handset, press and hold the red key until the screen turns off. NOTE If you do not modify the password yourself, all the passwords in this manual are default as 0000. MENU SETTING On idle screen, press the MENU/ /OK key to enter the menu setting, those are five sub-menus under the handset menu item.
Press ∧ or ∨ key to review the above items and then press MENU/ /OK key to confirm. Press to quit the setting state, or press (Phonebook/BACK) to back to the previous menu. PHONE BOOK Each individual Handset has its own phonebook, independent of each other handset, with a maximum of 50 entries, each name a maximum of 12 characters, each number a maximum of 20 digits and a melody selected between 1 and 10.
Press ∧ or ∨ key to select EDIT RECORD item. This function allows the user to modify a phonebook record. 1) Press MENU/ /OK key to enter, the first record in the phone book will be displayed. 2) Press ∧ or ∨ key to select the designated record to change. Once a record has been selected, the user will have the option to edit each of the name/number and change melody.

BASE DEFAULT This function allows the user to restore the base setting to the factory default. 1) Press MENU/ /OK key, then using ∧ or ∨ key to select BS DEFAULT item. 2) Press MENU/ /OK key to confirm. 3) The user will be prompted to enter the PIN CODE, the display shows PIN?, then press numerical keys to input code.

Trouble shooting LCD become dim Adjust LCD contrast, if the LCD is still dim, charge the batteries. Ring volume too low Check if the ringing volume is set improper, reset it. Receive only Check if you have set the barring number, if you want dial out this number, reset the barring number.
