Key Points
The Dell™ PowerConnect 5012 is designed to deliver a high
performance, flexible Gigabit Ethernet switching solution with
comprehensive management features.
The PowerConnect 5012 provides full wire-speed switching across 12
Gigabit Ethernet ports at all Ethernet packet sizes. The maximum
switching capacity is 24 Gbps.
The PowerConnect 5012 provides exceptional flexibility and
investment protection. In addition to the 10 built-in Copper Gigabit
Ethernet ports (10/100/1000BaseT), the PowerConnect 5012 includes
two GBIC slots to support a variety of fiber media.
The PowerConnect 5012 supports a variety of standards-based
advanced switching features that allow the network administrator to
optimize the traffic flow in the network.
The PowerConnect 5012 can be managed via its embedded Web server
or via 3

management standards like SNMP.
