Mac OS 7, 8.6 or 9.x

From the Apple menu, choose Control Panels, and then chooseTCP/IP.

The TCP/IP control panel opens:
If not already selected, select Ethernet in the "Connect via" list.

Select Using DHCP Server in the "Configure" list.

Click the Close box
4.
Click Save.
5.
Repeat this for each Macintosh on your network.

Mac OS X

Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu.
1.
Double-click Network.
2.
If not already selected, select Built-in Ethernet in the "Configure" list.
3.
If not already selected, select Using DHCP in the TCP/IP tab.
4.
Click Save
5.
Repeat this for each Macintosh on your network.
