1. Slide off the battery compartment
cover in the direction of the arrow.
2. Place the batteries in the compart-
ment and on top of the attached rib-
bon, as indicated by the polarity
symbols (+ and –) marked inside.
3. Replace the cover.
When the recorder stops operating prop-
erly, replace the batteries.
Warning:
Dispose
of
promptly and properly. Do not burn or
bury them.
Caution: If you do not plan to use the re-
corder for several days, remove the bat-
teries. Batteries can leak chemicals that
can destroy electronic parts.

Using AC or DC Power

You can power the recorder with AC pow-
er using a 3V, 250 mA AC adapter and a
size H Adaptaplug™ adapter, or from a
vehicle's battery using a 3V, 250 mA DC
adapter and a size H Adaptaplug. Both
