With the Showdown 5.6 Dual Beam, you will catch more fish and have more fun. This is due in part to the simplicity of the ShowDown’s sonar presentation, as well as the user-friendliness of the interface.
(3) Check unit connections. Rectangular plug should be firmly attached to the rear of Showdown 5.6 Dual Beam unit. Do not force plug into place. Make sure that 5-holeside is on top when making this connection. This plug connects the ShowDown unit to the transducer and the 12-volt power source.
UP or DOWN keys to adjust levels. POWER ON— To turn your Showdown 5.6 Dual Beam POWER to ON, press and hold POWER key for two seconds. OFF— To turn your Showdown 5.6 Dual Beam POWER to OFF, press and hold POWER for two seconds.
“Ice Mode”, you may find that your Showdown performs better under a wide variety of conditions when in “ICE” mode. NOTE: If your Showdown 5.6 Dual Beam is left in extreme cold for an extended time period with the POWER turned OFF, allow one to two minutes for the Ice Mode LCD heater to warm the crystals sufficiently after the POWER has been turned ON and ICE Mode has been activated.

You will now see the “ICE” mode indicator appear at the top of the Showdown 5.6 Dual Beam display screen. In ICE mode, an internal LCD heater is initiated. To exit ICE mode and return Showdown 5.6 Dual Beam to normal operating mode, press the UP and DOWN keys simultaneously. The ICE mode indicator will no longer show at the top of the display screen.

“A” icon at the bottom of the screen. NOISE (Interference Rejection) — The unit’s Noise Rejection feature allows you to use your Showdown 5.6 Dual Beam in close proximity to other sonar units, trolling motors, and other electronic devices without experiencing excessive signal interference.

Reading the Showdown 5.6 Dual Beam Dual Beam sonar signals: The Showdown 5.6 Dual Beam displays the water column in its natural state (vertically), rather than in a confusing circular configuration, such as is the case with traditional dial flashers.
Will the Showdown 5.6 Dual Beam read through the ice? Yes. This is a great way to save time while looking for a particular spot or depth. To receive a sonar signal directly through the ice (without drilling a hole), first clear off any snow that may be covering ice.

Adjust range to be just slightly deeper than bottom. Screen seems to be getting heavy interference, with lots of “clutter”: • Adjust the Showdown 5.6 Dual Beam sensitivity. Often, decreasing the unit’s sensitivity will keep unwanted signals from appearing on screen.
