Navigate in the menu
Enter the menu mode by pressing the Menu key; last used tab
is marked. Use Navigation key ( ) to choose tab and press
Navigation key ( ) to open it; a heading is shown and the first
alternative is marked. Use Navigation key ( ) to step in the
alternatives and select one by pressing Navigation key ( ).
Navigation key ( ) always takes you back one step.
The three Soft keys below the display are used for choices in
the menu. The function of each Soft key is explained by text
in the soft key field in the display. In menu mode press the
Menu key to return to standby mode.
Use the *-key to switch between capital and small letters
when entering text, and move to the next row by pressing the
Navigation key ( ).
Alternate Modes
Enter "Modes", step to desired mode and press "Select".
Find and edit a name in the Local phonebook
Enter "Contacts", step to "Local phonebook" and press
"Find". Enter the first letter in the name or the whole name.
Press "Search"; name and number in the first matching entry
is shown. You can step to the next entry in alphabetic order
by pressing Navigation key ( ). Press "Edit", make your
changes and press "Save".

Add an entry in the Local phonebook
Enter "Contacts", step to "Local phonebook" and press ( ).

Press "Add", enter name and number and press "Save".
Delete an entry from the Local phonebook
Find and select desired entry , see Find and edit a name in
the Local phonebook . Press "Delete"; the question "Delete
entry?", is shown. Press "Yes".
Edit a Hot key or Soft key
Enter "Settings", step to "Hot key" or "Soft key", and press
( ). Step to a key position and press ( ); the name and function
is shown. Press "Edit". Enter a new name/description and
press "Save". Mark the function and press ( ). Select a new
function and press "Select". Make your settings and press
"Save".
Turn the automatic keypad lock on/off
Enter "Settings", step to "General" and press ( ). Select
"Auto key lock, press "Change"; the Auto lock checkbox is
marked/unmarked. A locked keypad is indicated by the
"Locked keypad" icon.
Switch the telephone off/on
Off: Enter "Modes". Step to "Switch off" and press "Select".
On: press and hold the Call key; the question "Switch on?"
will be displayed. Press "Yes" within 2 seconds.
Alarm functions
(9d24 Protector versions only)
Personal alarm*
Press the red Alarm button twice within 2 seconds. "Personal
alarm" is displayed.
Test alarm*
Press and hold the red Alarm button until "Test alarm" is dis-
played.
*Dependent of installation
Deactivate/Activate Alarms
Enter "Settings", step to "Alarm settings" and press ( ). Select
"No-movement", "Man-down", or "Pull-cord", press
"Change"; the checkbox is unmarked/marked. Hot keys/Soft
keys can also be reserved for deactivation/activation of alarms.

Ear-cap region is magnetic and
may retain some metallic objects
