Hello - I have the dehumidifier (MODEL: DEP701EW) which has worked great for a number of years. I keep getting the EC error message and it stops working. Any suggestions on a fix? Nothing has really changed - it's in my basement so the temperature is pretty stable. Thank you.

For the EC error message on the EdgeStar DEP701EW dehumidifier, follow these steps:

1. Make sure the ambient temperature is between 41°F and 95°F. If it is not, operate the unit within this temperature range.
2. If the ambient temperature is suitable and the error persists, contact customer service.
