Before use

TV system selection

You must select the appropriate system mode
for your TV system.
When the selected system does not coincide
with the system of your TV, normal colour pic-
ture may not be displayed.
! AUTO: Select when the unit is connected
with Multi system TV.
! NTSC: Select when the unit is connected
with NTSC-TV.
! PAL: Select when the unit is connected
with PAL-TV.
1 Press SRC to select the CD/DVD.
2 Press EJECT.
Confirm that no disc is loaded in the built-in
player (NO DISC is displayed).
3 Press and hold ENT/d/PAUSE (e on the
remote control) for more than five sec-
onds.
Each time you press and hold the button for
more than five seconds, the TV system
switches as follows:
PAL—AUTO—NTSC

Tuner area selection

Depending on the region, tuning step can be
changed. The FM tuning step can be switched
between 100 kHz and 50 kHz. The AM tuning
step can be switched between 9 kHz and 10
kHz.
1 Press SRC to select the tuner.
2 Press and hold BAND (BAND/TAB on
the remote control) for more than five sec-
onds.
Now you can select a tuner area.
3 Press BAND (BAND/TAB on the remote
control) to switch between the following
areas:
AREA 1—AREA 2
Tuner area Step
FM: 100 kHz
AREA 1
AM: 10 kHz
FM: 50 kHz
AREA 2
AM: 9 kHz
4 Press and hold BAND (BAND/TAB on
the remote control) to decide the tuner
area.
# To cancel tuner area settings, press other than
BAND (BAND/TAB on the remote control).
