Your washing machine uses water, ener
gy and detergent efficiently, thereby pro
tecting the environment and reducing
your household costs. See Page 50 for
consumption values of your appliance.
Using your washing machine in an effi
cient and environmentally friendly manner:
q Do not exceed the maximum load.
Comply with the specifications on the
loading sensor. The washing machine
should not be loaded beyond the
100 % display.

General safety instructions

Your washing machine is intended for
- use in the household only,
- washing machine washable textiles
in water,
- operation with cold drinking water and
commercially available detergents and
cleaning products which are suitable
for use in washing machines.
Do not leave children unsupervised near
the washing machine.
Keep pets away from the washing machi
ne.
Do not insert/pull out the mains plug with
wet hands.

q Do not use prewash for lightly to nor
mally soiled washing.
q Dose detergent, load amount of laun
dry and adjust water hardness accor
ding to the degree of soiling. Comply
with dosing recommendation and ma
nufacturer's instructions.
q If washing is then to be dried in the
tumble dryer, select spin speed in ac
cordance with the instructions sup
plied by the dryer manufacturer.
Do not pull out the mains plug by tugging
the cable.
Caution when draining hot water.
Do not climb onto the washing machine.
Do not lean on the open washing machine
door.
Do not pull the emergency lock release
until:
- the washing machine has been swit
ched off,
- the drum has come to a standstill and
- the water has been drained.
