Introduction Thank you for purchasing this wall telephone. The DORO X20 is one of a new series of especially designed, high quality telephones. A number of user friendly features are available which include ten memories, adjustable ringer, last number redial and mute.
INSTALLATION 1. Plug the telephone line cord and the handset curly cord into their respective sockets on the base of the telephone. 2. Press both cords into the cable channels. The line cord can be located in an upwards direction if required. To wall mount the telephone, see page 4.
WALL MOUNTING The DORO X20 is ideal for wall mounting. Before you commence check that the intended mounting point is within reach of a telephone socket. Two screws and two retainers are provided. 1. Use the template at the rear of this guide to mark the position of the two screws which will secure the telephone in position.
MAKING A CALL 1. Lift the handset. 2. Wait for the dial tone and then dial the telephone number required. 3. To terminate the call, replace the handset. LAST NUMBER REDIAL To redial the number called, lift the handset and press the button.
DIALLING A MEMORY NUMBER 1. Lift the handset. 2. Press and release the button. 3. Press and release the keypad digit (0-9) which represents the stored number. The number will be dialled automatically. HANDSET VOLUME CONTROL The volume of the handset earpiece can be increased or decreased in six different levels according to personal preference.
The casing should be cleaned by wiping with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasives or spray polish that may cause damage. The REN number of the X20 is 1. The REN number (Ringer Equivalence Number) is designated to represent the amount of power that a telephone draws from the telephone line.
GUARANTEE The DORO X20 is guaranteed for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase. In the unlikely event of a fault during this period, please return it with a copy of the purchase receipt to your supplier.
WALL MOUNTING TEMPLATE If you are wall mounting this telephone use this template to position two holes 100 mm apart. Before drilling holes check for hidden electricity cables and water pipes.
