How to install the monitor hardware If the computer is turned on you must turn it off before continuing. Do not plug-in or turn-on the power to the monitor until instructed to do so. 1. Adjust the viewing angle. Hold the base steady while pulling the screen upright. You should position the monitor and angle the screen to minimize unwanted reflections from other light sources. - Page 10 2. Remove the rear cable cover. Press and hold the locking tab at the top of the cover whilst pulling it away from the screen. Refer to the diagram on page 8 for socket locations. 3. Connect the video cable. If you have the optional DVI-D cable and an appropriate DVI-D port on your computer, you should connect it between the monitor and the computer.

How to adjust the screen resolution Due to the nature of liquid crystal display (LCD) technology, the picture resolution is always fixed. The best possible picture for your FP783/FP783 is achieved with a resolution of 1280x1024. This is called “Native Resolution” or maximal resolution – that is, the clearest picture. Lower resolutions are displayed on a full screen through an interpolation circuit. -

How to adjust the screen refresh rate You don’t have to choose the highest possible refresh rate on an LCD display, because it is not technically possible for an LCD display to flicker. The best results are obtained by using the factory modes already set in your computer. -
