When replacing the fuel filter, check the fuel line hoses
for any cracks or leaks. Replace as needed.
A fuel shut-off valve is located on each fuel tank (Fig. 4-
10). Close these valves to prevent fuel flow to the engine.

Engine oil and filter

Check engine oil daily and after every 4 hours of
operation. Crankcase dipstick and oil filler tube are located
at the rear of the machine (Fig. 4-11). Tractor must be
setting level when checking oil. Refer to engine manual and
maintenance schedule for oil recommendation and
capacities.
Change the engine oil and filter after the first 5 hours of
operation, per the engine manufacturer's recommendations
after that. If tractor is being operated in extremely dirty
conditions, then it is recommended oil be changed more
frequently.
The oil drain and oil filter are located at the rear of the
engine. Fig. 4-11

Engine air filter

Perform engine air filter maintenance per the Engine
Owner's manual on units that have the standard engine air
filter.

General engine maintenance

Detailed instructions and recommendations for break-in
and regular maintenance are specified in the Engine

Owner's manual. Please refer to this manual for engine
servicing, lubricating oil levels with quality and viscosity
recommendations, bolt torques, etc. The engine warranty is
backed by the manufacturer. Special attention should be
paid to applicable data which will not be duplicated here.

Belt replacement

Figures 4-12 and 4-13 show diagrams and descriptions of
the unit's belt drive systems.
Inspect these belts frequently for wear and serviceability.
Replace a belt that shows signs of severe cuts, tears,
separation, weather checking and cracking, or burns caused
by slipping. Slight raveling of belt covering does not
