The fridge has started freezing no matter how warm I set the fridge, I believe it is the thermostat that is broken (assuming it has one). Any advice on where it is and how to check if it is broken and how to fix/replace it?
I'm well versed in fixing circuit boards.

To check and replace the thermostat in an Electrolux fridge with part number ER8197B:
1. Check the Thermostat: - Locate the thermostat in the fridge compartment. - Adjust the thermostat knob and observe if the temperature changes. The higher the setting, the colder it should get. - If the fridge does not cool properly after adjustment, the thermostat may be faulty.
2. Replace the Thermostat: - Unplug the fridge from the power supply. - Access the thermostat, usually behind the control panel inside the fridge. - Disconnect the wires from the old thermostat. - Remove the old thermostat. - Install the new thermostat by connecting the wires and securing it in place. - Plug the fridge back in and test for proper operation.
Make sure the replacement thermostat matches the model specifications.
