Troubleshooting

Symptom
Cannot turn on the processor.
The lamp does not light.
No image appears on the
monitor.
Images are black and white.
Text is not displayed on the
monitor or cannot be input.
The scope buttons do not work
and the peripheral devices
cannot be operated.
A long beep tone sounds and
the COPY and VTR functions
do not work.
Selecting a lamp with the
selection switch does not
switch the lamps.

If there is no response even if you press any key on the keyboard, turn off the processor and contact our service
personnel.
NOTE
If there is a problem that cannot be resolved with any of the above solutions, contact our service personnel.
Cause
The power cord is not connected
properly.
A fuse has blown.
The lamp has burned out.
The monitor settings are not
configured properly.
A cable is not connected properly.
The scope is not connected properly.
The lamp is not lit.
The lamp is not lit.
The keyboard is not connected
properly.
The function of the [Character off] key
has been activated.
The peripheral devices are not
connected properly.
The scope switch menu settings are
not configured properly or the PC or a
peripheral device is not connected
properly.
The selection device is broken.
Solution
Securely connect the power cord to the
power input socket and isolation
transformer.
Replace the fuses.
If any of the [1] and [2] indicator lights
for [SERVICE] on the front panel is lit
orange, replace the corresponding
lamp.
Turn on the monitor.
Set the proper video input signal.
Reset the adjustment values for the
monitor.
Connect all cables properly.
Align the scope locking lever to the
LOCK position.
Press c on the front panel to turn
on the lamp.
Press c on the front panel to turn
on the lamp.
Connect the keyboard to the processor
properly.
Press the [Character off] key to
redisplay all the text information items.
Connect the peripheral devices to the
processor properly.
1 Change the COPY/VTR function
settings in the scope switch menu.
Remove the selection for any
unused or turned off peripheral
device.
2 Connect the PC and peripheral
devices properly and turn them on.
3 If the capture function is selected
and enabled, make sure Image
Capture Software (OS-I1) is
working properly.
Contact our service personnel
immediately.
The lamps can be switched manually
in an emergency.
